Angels of Mercy - The Alpha Phi Northern Virginia Alumnae chapter continues to support our community by working with the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 270 to provide support for the Angels of Mercy, No Soldier Left in Need, and Angels in Iraq programs. We provide suitable clothing, grocery store gift cards, and financial donations to our numerous military men and women undergoing critical medical treatment at Walter Reed Hospital and their families. The Angels of Mercy are currently in need of Visa, Mastercard or American Express gift cards, or checks made out to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 270 for the Angels of Mercy. George Mason's Red Dress Gala - The Eta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Fraternity at George Mason University will be holding their Red Dress Gala on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 7pm at the American Legion Post 177 in Fairfax , Virginia. Many of our alumnae supported the event last year by making a financial donation and/or by making a donation for the auction. Those of us that attended the gala had a great time interacting with the collegians and their parents. Let's make a good alumnae showing again this year. As always, net proceeds from the Red Dress Gala will benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation.
